Keswick Hotels

Keswick is the main tourist hub in the north of the Lake District, and there are a number of great Keswick Hotels to choose from. There are also many local attractions, activities, and places of interest. The picturesque lake of Derwent Water is close by - why not take a short cruise from the Keswick Ferry Landings. Walkers might be interested in the route to Cat Bells as featured by Julie Bradbury on her Wainwright Walks. There is also Latrigg Country Park with great view across the Vale of Keswick, and a well trod tourist route to the summit of nearby Skiddaw.

Other places of interest include Castlerigg Stone Circle, an ancient monument set amidst the fells of Blencathra and Clough Head. In the town of Keswick, there is a pedestrianised market place, quaint shops, and the tourist Information Centre Based at the historic Moot Hall. Other places of interest include the Pencil Museum, the Theatre by the Lake, and nearby there is Whinlatter Mountain Forrest Park, popular with mountain bike cyclists. Keswick is also an ideal spot to visit the beautiful valley of Borrowdale which some say is the nicest valley in the Lake District.
